MISSION STATEMENT OF UPWARD BASKETBALL & CHEERLEADING:
We are commited to maximizing our efforts individually, and as a group, to lift Upward the name of Jesus and reach unlimited people for Christ.
ABOUT UPWARD BASKETBALL & CHEERLEADING:
Upward is a community basketball/cheerleading league for boys and girls in Pre-K4 through 6th grade, that strives to help participants develop character while learning basketball or cheerleading skills. Games are played on Saturdays during the months of January and February and last for about one hour. Each child will be given an opportunity to play during this time. Please note that game times will be determined at a later date and will be subject to gymnasium schedules and availability. Check back in November for a complete game schedule.
Before each game begins, the children will be lead in prayer at center court. During halftime there is also a short devotion for the players and spectators. Following the game, stars will be awarded to each player to commend the players for showing 'Best Effort, Best Sportsmanship, Best Offense, Best Defense and Christlikeness'. Players will practice every week during the entire season, during each practice the coach will lead the players in a short devotion. Teams will have the opportunity to learn Scripture verses together.

Final evaluations will be held Monday November 7th from 5:00pm - 8:00pm
Cheerleading registration is $80 and includes the uniform, mock turtle neck, pom poms, hair ribbon, and car magnet.
Basketball registration is $75 and includes the uniform (top and bottom), T-shirt, and car magnet.
